3 Reasons Why People Start Their Country Music Blog

March 21st, 2010

Individuals want to know the latest thing in everything.  If they are updated in the things that they like or are concerned with, they can easily relay the message to others.  In addition, they too can get the information that they need by the social networking websites.  People can update their status anytime they want and can write about anything under the sun.  This is also the very reason why people start to create their own country music blog.

For individuals who love listening to country music, they usually have their own country music blog.  For the musically inclined, they lean on this blog because they can learn more about music.  Even though everyone has his or her own taste in music, it still helps to have some knowledge about the other genre.  As they say, it is better to know a little bit of everything rather than being very versed in one thing.  More so, music has plenty of types.  You may also want to listen to the others just for variation.

Another reason why people start their own country music blog is to show their support to their favorite country singers.  It does make sense does not it?  You would not write about something or someone, for that matter, if you have no interest on it.  Individuals who just started listening to country songs would surely learn a lot from your blog especially if it talks about the singers and their songs.  As a music enthusiast, they too will be able to refer your website to their friends who are also listening to the same kind of music.

What Is The Swedish Massage Therapy

March 21st, 2010

What is Swedish massage therapy? It is a technique designed to help the muscles in the body relax by applying pressure and then rubbing it in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart.

Unlike other methods of massage therapy, this was first developed in the 18th century. It is also called the classic massage because it represents the Western way of relaxing those muscles.

The main purpose of the Swedish massage then and now is still the same. This is to increase the flow of oxygen in the blood so toxins are released from the muscles. These toxins include lactic and uric acid as well as metabolic waste.

When this happens, circulation is increased without increasing the heart load. The ligaments and tendons are both stretched keeping them supple and pliable. This also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves at the same time. As a result, stress is reduced.

There are various techniques in the Swedish massage. Some examples of these are friction, effleurage, kneading, tapping, long strokes, vibrations and shaking motions. The therapist may use the fingertips, hands or palm to achieve maximum effect and of course, a little bit of bending and stretching.

During the session, the person has to undress and lie down on the mattress. He or she is then covered with a blanket and the only time it is opened is when the therapist has to massage that region of the body with oil so this will be absorbed by the body.

Cross Country – Why Country Music Isn’t Just Country Music

March 21st, 2010

Once upon a time, Country was Country, it was easily discernable for other genres and it did not cross openly into other genres, or so Music Purists like to believe. Today it is not unusual to see several “cross-genres” of Country Music, bringing in elements of pop, rock and folk, but then again it is not easy to forget that Music has its roots in folk, gospel and has often crossed the genre lines throughout its history. So here are some subgenres you might see.

Pop
To some this is the ultimate blasphemy, after all ‘pop’ is all about upbeat tunes and positive lyrics, the opposite of Country, how then can they be crossed? It is hard to define Pop as there are no ‘rules’ as to what makes a Pop artist. It has its roots in the 1960s, with some artists introducing more ‘popular’ music into their songs to sell more music and to get into the charts. Example artists are Shania Twain, Oliver-Newton John, John Denver, with mixed results and causing great controversy among purists of either side. True singers of this music were troubled by this trend of cross-genre artists, preferring to stick to their traditions; hackles were raised when Music Awards were handed to Pop singers, rather than ‘true’ singers.

Benefits Of Music – Use The Title Actually ‘Intelligence, Healing, And Pure Joy: Music Offers all.’

March 21st, 2010

Music has been a part of existence since time immemorial. And, it is everywhere -in the rhythms of nature, the chatter of animals and birds, the babbling of babies, and in the dancing of brooks. Listen and you will hear sweet tunes all weaving a magic of their own.

It is well known that the origins of music go back at least 50,000 years. Music seems to be ingrained in our genetics and tunes are rhythms that are integral to our lives.

Music seems to play many roles in our lives:

• Research indicates the children who learn music are more likely to become doctors, engineers, and computer professionals. Music learning develops areas of the brain responsible for language as well as reasoning. Music is known to sharpen memory. A Rockefeller Foundation study reveals that those who studied music have SAT scores of 427.

• If a child in the womb of its mother listens to music it is born with highly developed intelligence.

• Music molds people—it teaches coordination, teamwork, discipline, and self-expression.

• The therapeutic values of music are well documented. It heals people with mental problems, developmental and learning disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, brain trauma, and hypertension. That music heals has been recorded in the works of Aristotle and Plato and in the centuries that followed.
