I cannot claim any expertise when it comes to what is “authentic” Cuban music, but I can say that this CD sounds like I’m listening to Lawrence Welk or Percy Faith doing Cuban. Both have highly skilled musicians, but something about the renditions on this CD just feels wrong – synthetic. I give it two stars for the musical competence.

This CD, Bolero I, Cuban Patio, and Cuban Jazz is a wonderful music collection of old Cuba. They fill your soul. It makes you reminiscent on the good times. These CDs bring me closer than nything else to my Culture.
