@keonepax That is true for many reasons, but mainly because women were thought to not require higher education, and were very quickly taken out of schooling to be educated as maidens and housewifes. It was ussually the men who went on to higher education, as it was seen as their role to support a family. Also, it was considered a lack of ettiquette, and even ugly, for a woman to express her beliefs openly, which applies to artistic talent aswell. They were prefered as quiet, reserved beings
@darnasia94 Your point is well-taken! It’s curious that there aren’t more prominent female composers throughout the history of classical music.
@15silverblade Please see Part 10! : )
I didn’t see François Couperin or Domenico Scarlatti… are very good suggestions too
keonepak, Villa Lobos is the best Latin American composer and his music should be mentioned at least once. -.-
No women… I know there weren’t many at the time, but at least Clara Schuman could make in on the list? Just a suggestion from a fan!
or you could may be make a collection with actual componers, like Phillip Glass, James Newton-Howard, and else. I don’t know, just looking forward your 10th video!
Make part 10 and include John Williams! He composed a lot of scores from famous movies like Jaws, Superman, Star Wars, E.T. and stuff.
can anyone help me find this song in this video
/watch?v=tEu5Qkqw7Tg&playnext_from=TL&videos=dVn4v87QL_k
thanks
Michael Giacchino would be not bad
Thank you so much for this compilation! And an extra thankyou for not forgotting the underrated Max Bruch!
part 10 should include Alexander Konstatinovich Glazunov with his violin concerto (3rd movement), it’s my favourite
i wait part 10 for long time, when do you have part 10
the series is great, i ope part 10 … fantasic … romatic
you should include these composers:
-Lehar: The Merry Widow (Damenwahl)
-Corelli: Concerto Grosso in G Minor
-Leoncavallo: Opera I Pagliacci ‘Recitar!.. Vesti la giubba’
-Donizetti: Opera Don Pasquale ‘Che interminabile andirivieni’
-Britten: War Requiem ‘Lacrimosa’
thank you, i hope part 10 come soon
i have a composer for suggestion but i don’t sure he is classical composer or classical romantic composer or classical baroque composer or blablabla. he is john towner williams (1932) with:
-star wars main theme
-jurassic park theme
when will you have part.10, i extremely love these videos. oh and i have some suggestions (not my favourit and i’m not sure the names are rights):
-bellini: la farfalleta
-oginsky: polonaise
-kabalevsky: the clown
and threre are my favourite but i can’t find them:
-anton grigorevich rubinstein: piano concerto no.4 (1st)
-friedrich von flotow: piano concerto no.1 (1st)
I use iMovie6 on my Mac to edit the pieces of music. There are two audio tracks, which helps because I often overlap the pieces so that the transitions are smoother. After the audio track is ready, I search for pictures of the composers on the Internet and incorporate them into the video. Finally, I add the names of the composers and titles of the song.
@masterclassicalmusic Thanks for all the suggestions! I already have a line-up for Part 10, so I may incorporate your suggestions in future parts. Sorry, I don’t have links to music files of each separate piece of music.
