In the past few years, Myspace has yielded several artists that have gone on to become successful and influential musical artists. Popularity seems to be among the most important requirements. The number of plays the band has translates to how popular that band is with those who visit their page. A higher number is far more impressive to not only these executives, but to the random music lover searching for that new band to adore and worship. The crucial question then becomes: how to get more plays?

The easy answer to that question is to have people come to your site and listen to your songs. Obviously, you will need traffic to actually listen to the songs that are posted on the site.
